So much to do........

.....but you won't want to do anything once you realise how relaxing and peaceful life is in Ribadesella.

Almost totally unspoilt Ribadesella is the secret Summer destination for many Spanish families from inland Spain. Not for them the crowded beaches and extreme heat of Southern Spain.

You won't see any English football shirts, McDonalds restaurants or neon Coke signs in Ribadesella. Don't expect anyone to speak English because very few locals do. This is authentic Spain and you will have to get the phrase book out and learn a few words.

The locals are very pleasant and helpful, they go about their business and welcome the Summer influx of visitors as a vital part of the economy.

The list of normal local activities is as follows:

Without a car:

Beaches, Shopping, Strolling, Canoeing, Sea Swimming, Surfing, Sunbathing, Drinking (in moderation hopefully!), Eating, Dining Out, Fishing, Quad Bike Tours, Prehistoric Cave visiting.

With a car:

Sightseeing, Mall Shopping, Wind Surfing, Golf, Horse Riding and a ton of other stuff. You can browse our links for an activity you are specifically after to get the details. We will build as much info into this site as we can.

Pouring the local Sidra (Cider) is such an art that competitions are held each year!

About 2 fingers of Sidra are poured into the bottom of a glass which is then drunk "down in one." The glass is then passed on to the next drinker in the group. Usually the Spanish talk for about 10-15 mins between each round!
